1 ) Love One Another Reflects Christ-( John 13:34-35 )” A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know you are my disciples, if you love one another”
2 ) Loving One Another Completes The Law-( Romans 13:8-9 ) let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law
3 ) Loving One Another Is A Result Of Salvation-( 1Peter 1:22) Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply from the heart. 1Peter 1:23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
4 ) Loving One Another Is An Evidence Of Christianity- ( 1 John 3:10 ) This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are. Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God: nor is anyone who does not love his brother. ( 1 John 3:11 NIV ). This is the message you heard from the beginning. We should love one another.
5 ) Loving One Another Is A Demanded Commandment ( 1 John 3:23 ) And this is his command to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.
6 ) Loving One Another Is A Response To God Loving Us. (1John 4:7-11 )
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us. He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
7 ) Loving One Another Demonstrates God’s Existence ( 1 John 4:12) No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
The love of which I speak is found in 1 Corinthians 13
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy. It does not boast it is not proud. It is not rude, It is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects. Always trusts always hopes always perseveres. Love never fails..
What does the Lord require of us today? To live right: to love God with all our being and to love our neighbour as ourselves.
